Our Friends Jim and Janet Canoeing on Big Bear Lake
It’s true that ‘tricks are for kids’ and young people really enjoy fast boats, wake boarding , water skiing and tubing but that doesn’t mean the rest of us don’t enjoy getting out in the fresh air and getting some exercise. Tamara and I have really enjoyed our time paddling on the lake for a couple of years now. The cost of getting set up with your own boat may be manageable for some, but we find renting is the best solution for us. When finished with our outing we just walk away with the great memories and leave all the work of boat ownership to our friends at the marina! It makes the decision to get out there and paddle a very simple one and doesn’t involve finding equipment, loading and unloading a boat and then having to reverse the process on the other end.
New lightweight boats and gear are very manageable and easy to use, and we can break away from work for a couple of hours early and get a great workout at any level we choose. You can find Canoe and Kayak Rentals, Boat Tours and General Boating Information at any of these establishments.
